Our inaugural VAD Bootcamp was a great success!
The Planning Committee initially anticipated 60–80 attendees, and we were delighted to have 150 attendees from around the world! The immersive one-day training combined hands-on experience with didactic learning focused on Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs). Participants rotated through multiple device stations, engaged in challenging case presentations, and took part in an interactive Ask the VAD Experts panel discussion. Attendees gained a comprehensive understanding of VAD management, from device selection to troubleshooting complex scenarios, specifically for the Berlin Heart EXCOR, HeartMate 3, Impella, and CentriMag/PediMag pumps. We are already looking forward to the next one!
A huge THANK YOU to our host center, industry sponsors, and planning committee!
