WHAT MADE YOU JOIN ACTION?

I joined ACTION because of the opportunity to collaborate on projects on a larger scale than just looking at issues as an institution. The data and information is stronger pooled together and ultimately our patients will be better served.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ACTION MEMORY?

Early on, our team gave a presentation about a difficult case. A lot of members expressed appreciation of the discussion of such a complex case and it felt very reassuring to know that so many others struggle with the same things that we do.

WHAT PROJECT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT MOVING FORWARD IN ACTION?

We have had some frustrating stroke cases recently that we have presented on the ABCDs of Reducing Stroke calls. I am looking forward to continuing to be a part of those calls, listening to other cases and bringing important discussion points and strategies back to our team to improve our systems and outcomes.

WHERE IS YOUR FAVORITE TRAVEL DESTINATION AND WHY?

Tie between Glacier National Park (it is truly breathtaking and other-worldly) and Costa Rica ( I love the beach, food, and hiking)

WHAT’S THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE RECEIVED?

Be kind to yourself.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB?

Camp Counselor

WHO IS SOMEONE IN YOUR LIFE WHO INSPIRES YOU?

My patients and their families—I am constantly in awe of the challenges they are able to overcome.

WHAT’S ONE THING OTHER ACTION MEMBERS WOULDN’T KNOW ABOUT YOU?

My full name is Jennie, not Jennifer.
