Data Coordinating Center Updates
July has been an exciting month for the network, especially for the Data Coordinating Center! The first aggregate quarterly reports went out to the PI’s (those with IRB/DUA approval) and we have 120 patients in our registry. We also had a 2-day data retreat for the DCC in which we learned about data visualization & we finalized plans for data adjudication. The QI committees, Anticoagulation, Blood Pressure / Hemodynamics, Communication, & Discharge, are all building on current projects and developing new projects, as well.

Pediatric VAD Billing Guide:
Rob Niebler, MD, & the Utilization & Value Committee developed a VAD Billing guide that is available on Basecamp. Rob would also like to track billing and reimbursement practices from any institution that would want him to do so. If you are interested in having your billing/reimbursement tracked for your center, email firstname.lastname@example.org with the contact information of a representative from your center’s billing office.
